 George Frederick Martin (1849 - c. 1910 - 1915)

George Martin was born in 1849 in Penzance, Co. Cornwall, England. He emigrated from the Channel Isle of Jersey to Matabeleland, Southern Africa around 1868-1869. George married Maria Park Montgomery c. 1871. Maria was born in 1854 in the Burgersdorp District. They had eight children. George was trained as a shipwright in England and/or Jersey. In Matabeleland he became a big game hunter and trader. Maria died in 1889 and George between 1910-1915. Both of them are buried at Inyati, Rhodesia (Zimbabwe).

 Francois du Toit (1664 - 1731)

Francois du Toit is gedoop in 1664 in Ryssel (Lille), Vlaandere. Hy en sy broer, Guillaume arriveer in 1686 in die Kaap vanaf Ryssel (Lille), Vlaandere, aan boord van die skip "Vrijheid". Hy trou in 1690 met Susanna Seugnet, gebore in Saintes, Saintonge, Frankryk c. 1673. Sy het in 1689 in die Kaap aangekom. Hulle het tien kinders gehad. Francois was 'n heemraad vir Drakenstein en het die plase "Kleinebosch", "Schoongezicht", "Soetendal" en "Lemietrivier" besit. Hy sterf in 1731 te Drakenstein; Susanna is in 1762 oorlede in die ouderdom van 91 jaar.

 Francois du Toit (1699 - 1751)

Francois du Toit is gebore in 1699 in Drakenstein. Hy trou in 1722 met Maria Therond, die weduwee van Pieter Janse van Ma(a)rseveen. Sy is gebore in 1698 en was die dogter van Jacques Therond en Marie-Jeanne des Pres (Marié Jeanne du Pré). Hulle het agt kinders gehad. Francois was 'n heemraad en luitenant in die Krygsraad. Vanaf 1725 het hy op die leningsplaas "Winterhoek" in Waveren (later Tulbagh) Distrik geboer met graan en vee. Francois is oorlede in 1751 en Maria in 1781.

Francois du Toit is gedoop in 1737 in Drakenstein. Hy trou in 1763 in Waveren (Tulbagh) met Sara Bockelenberg, gedoop in 1745. Sy was die dogter van Daniël Bockelenberg en Elizabeth Loret. Hulle het tien kinders gehad. Francois is oorlede gedurende of na 1785 en Sara gedurende of na 1786.

 Jacobus Andries du Toit (1772 - > 1816)

Jacobus du Toit is gedoop in 1772 in Waveren (Tulbagh). Hy trou in 1800 in Kaapstad met Anna Elizabeth Rossouw, gedoop in 1783 in Waveren (Tulbagh). Sy was die dogter van Daniël Rossouw en Sara Petronella Celliers. Hulle het ses kinders gehad. Jacobus is oorlede gedurende of na 1815 en Anna gedurende of na 1816.

 Daniël Petrus Francois du Toit (1809 - 1839)

Daniël du Toit is gebore in 1809 en gedoop in Swellendam. Hy trou in 1829 op George met Maria Magdalena Bezuidenhout, gebore c. 1808. Hy sterf op die jeugdige ouderdom van 30 jaar, in 1839 te Doornrivier. Hulle het net een kind gehad. Na Daniël se dood, trou Maria in 1841 met Marcus Marthinus Fourie; hulle het vier kinders gehad. Sy is oorlede in 1868 aan huis op "Muiskraal", Oudtshoorn Distrik, in die ouderdom van 60 jaar.

Jacobus du Toit is gebore in 1830 te Oudtshoorn en gedoop op George. Hy trou in 1853 met Jacoba Elizabeth Engelbrecht te Potchefstroom; sy sterf met die geboorte van hul eerste kind in 1855. In 1857 trou Jacobus met Jeanette Hendrina Marais, gebore c. 1839. Jacobus en Jeanette het elf kinders gehad. Hy was 'n veeboer op "Kareefontein", Boshof Distrik. In 1920 sterf hy op die plaas "Hamburg", Boshof Distrik. Jeanette is oorlede in 1912 aan huis op die plaas "Hamburg".

 Daniël Petrus Francois du Toit (1855 - 1953)

Daniël du Toit is gebore in 1855 en gedoop op Potchefstroom in 1856. Hy trou in 1878 met Susanna Maria Susara Jacoba Erasmus, gebore c. 1857, van "Vaalbosch-laagte". Hulle het agt kinders gehad. Daniël was 'n veeboer van Winburg Distrik en boer later te "Hamburg", Boshof Distrik. Hy sterf in 1953, in die ouderdom van 98 jaar. Susanna oorleef hom (haar sterfdatum is onbekend). Hulle is begrawe in die Dutoitspan Begraafplaas, Kimberley.

 Owen and Annie Martin (born Du Toit)

Owen Martin was born in 1879 in Matabeleland (later Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe). Owen possibly married c. 1903 and they had one child, (there is no information about this marriage available at present). In c. 1907 Owen married Anna Elizabeth du Toit, born 1885. They had five children and also adopted a child. Owen was a stonemason, and joined the British South African Police in 1896. He took part in the Anglo Boer War (1899-1902) and fought in the First World War in German South West Africa. He was, compound manager at De Beers Diamond Mines, Kimberley. He died in 1947 in Kimberley; Annie survived him (date of death unknown).
